With this Costa Rica Peninsula experience, you not only get to see the awesome Corcovado National Park with the Corcovado Foundation as your host, but also interact and support the local people.
The Corcovado Foundation is a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to preserve the rainforest through conservation and community engagement.

Itinerary
Day 1 – Arrival
Today, you will arrive at Drake Bay, preferably before lunch, so you can enjoy your lunch at the Corcovado Foundation Biohostel. The rest of the day, you will have free time to get to know your surroundings and the hostel and you can enjoy a presentation on the Concovado Foundation. Dinner will be at the Biohostel.
Meals included: lunch (if you arrive on time) & dinner.

Day 2 – La Cascada & beach fun
After breakfast, you will enjoy a wonderful tour of Los Planes community. Here, you can walk through the primary forest to marvel at the lush natural environment. A snack will be provided at the end of this walk and you have some time to enjoy the clean and natural waters of the Osa Peninsula.
For lunch, you are invited to a cooking class at the Biohostel with local women. Learn how to cook traditional dishes and enjoy them together with your hosts.
At 3:30 pm, you will be picked up by catamaran to go to San Josecito Beach (25 min) to go snorkeling, paddle boarding, take a water slide or just relax in the water or on the beach before we return to the Biohostel at around 6:30pm.
Meals included: breakfast, lunch & dinner

Day 3 – Beach cleaning & kids
After breakfast, we will help to clean the beach with local volunteers and you will enjoy a picnic at the beach with them (may require a surplus fee to pay for the volunteers as well). After the cleanup, you will join local children in an environmental education activity. We will also make some snacks for the children at the Biohostel and enjoy them together.
For dinner, you are invited to prepare traditional dishes with the Biohostel staff and share your meal so you have an opportunity to talk to them for a nice cultural exchange evening.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4 – Departure
This morning, you will thank the lodge staff of the Corcovado Foundation by making breakfast for them and enjoying it together.
After breakfast, you will depart from Drake Bay having gained more knowledge about the natural environment you visited and leaving a positive impact behind; thank you!

Excluded:
–       Costs for the children’s and staff meals (costs depend on the choice of foods);
–       International and domestic flights;
–       Transport to and from Drake Bay;
–       All items of a personal nature;
–       Insurances.
