Description
Culture, School & Lots of Wildlife in Malawi
If you have the time and wish to really immerse yourself in Malawian life as well as enjoy the beautiful natural environment and wildlife, you have found your ultimate experience!
The first half of this 20-day experience focuses on getting to know the local village lifestyle and participating in all sorts of daily activities. You will meet the chiefs and village development committee to hear all about your new temporary family.
We will help out with farming on the cassave and maize fields, fetch water and firewood, go fishing and learn how to cook Malawian meals that we enjoy together with the community. You will also learn about the 2 Wheels 2 School project, interact with the students and learn the local language.
In addition, we will participate in planting trees, learn local dance moves to impress our friends back home, participate in community shops and enjoy some great local storytelling by the campfire.
And if that wasn’t enough to win you over, this experience will also take you to the great Malawian outdoors, home of some of most sought after wildlife for nature lovers. We will go trekking, bird watching and wildlife spotting, with chances of seeing lions, antelopes, elephants, hippos and more!
Included are biking and a game drive at Nyika National Park and another game drive at Vwaza Game reserve. Be prepared to be wowed by the greatness of Malawi!
